Use those First Generations iPads!

First generation iPads are for many outdated, and one of the older models’ biggest issues is battery life. For applications where iPads are mounted and allowing continuous charging, these “old” devices perform perfectly.

Many customers contact us and purchase our iPad mounts for exactly that. Here is an excellent example.

NCSU (North Carolina State University) had some of these first generation iPads lying around. Here is what Robert Holloman from NCSU’s DELTA told us:

“We are using the brackets to re-purpose old first-generation iPads to use as digital signs for some of our conference rooms, using the EventBoard app and Google calendar.”

By mounting an iPad Wall Bracket onto their machines, and placing an Internet connected iPad running their free App, the “i-Form II“, they combine a fitness guide AND virtual personal trainer within their fitness equipment.

Through the Internet connection, i-Form II delivers personalized training programs structured to chart your progress, help you get optimal results to meet your fitness goals, as well as communicate with their trainers or your own personal trainer.

With easy visibility and access, the iPad, secured in its mounting bracket, provides progress reports, workout routine guidance, demonstration videos and personalized progressive training programs geared toward each individual’s fitness profile.

This system is geared to be a great motivator. During your workout, i-Form II displays YOUR specific exercises on the iPad screen, including number of sets and reps.

When your workout is complete,   i-Form II  “remembers”  your specific profile, with every  detail,  including the weights you used, as well as sets and reps.  Your fitness achievements are recorded and stored to help you achieve the goals you set.

Mount the iPad in its bracket, stay in shape and you too will say iWorkOut!

Before students bow and step onto the mat in Spicar’s Martial Arts School, they must first sign-in on the iPad that is mounted on the wall in its secure and stylish iPad Wall Mount Bracket.

Owners and Chief Instructors Adam and Lucie Spicar, both 4th degree black belts, opened Spicar’s Martial Arts & Taekwondo Karate school in Texas in 2008.Their successful school serves hundreds of eager students,  ages 4-69 with a bustling 6 day per week multiple-level class schedule.

To keep track of this dynamic schedule and of each student’s attendance, the Spicars utilize an in-house computerized system. Students sign in before every class using an iPad which is mounted just outside the training area entrance. The system conveniently logs attendance for easy tracking and retrieval.
“The iPad Wall Mount bracket provided us with a perfect solution and was exactly what we needed.” Says Chief Instructors Adam Spicar. “Installation was easy, and the iPad is firmly held in the cushioned bracket, secured, looks beautiful and easy to use. We’ve been using it every day for almost a year, and the bracket still looks like it’s brand new.”.
